- How to Use ShareX and Host Images to Clung

ShareX is a free and open-source screen capture and file sharing tool. To host images using ShareX to the Clu.ng API, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install ShareX from the official website or Microsoft store.
  2. In ShareX, go to Destinations → Custom Uploader Settings.
  3. Click on the New button to create a new custom uploader setting.
  4. In the Request tab, enter the following settings:
    • Request URL: https://clu.ng/v2/api/host.php
    • Method: POST
    • Body: Form data
    • Form fields: secret=UR KEY HERE, file form name=sharex
    • If you don't have a key dm @doxxing, on discord to get one!
  5. Click test Image Uploader button, you should recieve
    • Success response code: 200 & the URL.
    • Example URL: http://Clu.ng/{imagecode}
  6. Exit out of the settings. Tweaks automatically save.
  7. Select your custom settings in ShareX and choose your hotkeys. On trigger shareX will capture/upload your screenshot or file to our servers. The uploaded image URL will be copied to your clipboard automatically.
  8. Host is cleared every 1m uploads.
